Our story
Artemisa was founded with a clear mission: to connect the rich craft heritage of Mexico with contemporary interiors around the world.
We work directly with workshops that have preserved traditional techniques for generations and have adapted that knowledge to the requirements of current design. Rather than simply selling handmade products, we develop commercially viable collections that answer what retail and hospitality expect today.
Our approach combines traditional craftsmanship, contemporary aesthetics, quality control processes, flexible production and readiness for international markets.
Why Tonalá
Tonalá is one of the most important craft production centres in Mexico. The region offers generational expertise, skilled labour, established production infrastructure, access to traditional techniques and a deeply rooted cultural heritage.
That ecosystem is what lets us offer authenticity and production flexibility at the same time, something an industrial setting rarely achieves.
Quality control
Every batch is checked before shipping: visual inspection, finish consistency, structural integrity and functional testing where it applies. Packaging is reviewed piece by piece, with fragile-handling standards and master carton verification.
Because these are handmade products, slight variations between pieces are part of their authenticity, not a defect.
Sustainability and impact
Our model helps preserve traditional trades and creates stable commercial opportunities for artisan families, with women-led workshops and recognition of the cultural authorship behind each technique.
The blown glass line is made entirely from recovered glass, which reduces raw material extraction, energy use and landfill waste.
We produce to order and in controlled batches: less overproduction, use of offcuts, workshop traceability and pieces designed to last.
Commitment
To grow without losing the origin: strengthen Mexican artisans, improve commercial consistency and open new channels for products made with craft.
